Much to my relief as a chemistry teacher I was able to perform the alkali metals demo at Schaumburg Christian School (public school Antioch wouldn’t allow it). The demo is spectacular and more importantly, the students remember it and the reactivity trend of the alkali metals. I was still waiting on potassium as it was back ordered but sufficient enough were lithium and sodium (in order of reactivity!). Thank you students for capturing God’s beautiful elements and the colors associated with them.
